Snake Control

It’s now the middle of June, and summer is coming upon us fast. For snakes, as well as humans, early summer is one of the most active times of the year, especially when it comes to the time spent outdoors at night. Snakes will often wait until nighttime to come out due to the intense heat of the day, which also happens to be the same time humans are out enjoying other summertime activities such as catching lightning bugs and telling stories by the campfire.

Snakes don’t often cross most people's minds until they are surprised by the sight of one. The good news is that most snakes are non-venomous, and only a handful of people die from venomous snake bites every year in the U.S. Rattlesnakes have the most potent venom and cause the majority of the deaths.

If you do happen to spot a snake in your house or on your property, remember that the capture of snakes is not something for the average person. Wildlife Professionals have been trained in the quick identification of snakes. Unless you are a Wildlife Professional, treat all snake species as being venomous. Keep your distance and call a wildlife professional to handle the snake in your basement or garden.

Don’t panic! Let A All Animal Control help with your Snake Control and Removal today!

Groundhog Control

The largest ground squirrel commonly known as a woodchuck is a common nuisance in backyards everywhere. Also called groundhogs for their habits and appearance, especially in late summer when they've been packing on the pounds in preparation for a long cold winter. When startled or alarmed they can emit a shrill warning whistle, inspiring the nickname whistle pig. It has short legs, strong claws, and a stubby tail.

Groundhogs are covered with two coats of fur. The outside fur keeps water out and the inside fur keeps in body heat. Groundhogs weigh between 4 and 14 pounds, and live most of their lives underground. The fox, wildcats, coyotes and hawks are their main natural enemies.

Because of their ease of adaptation to human environments, our home becomes their home. Backyard landscapes provide attractive goods, such as vibrant flower garden, lush grass with delicious clover, vegetable gardens, and fruits from trees that groundhogs favor. Once a groundhog has found ample food source, it will look for a den site that is close by. Your home is the den site due to increased land development in groundhog inhabited areas, and the overpopulation of groundhogs does not help. Loose vents, storage sheds, low decks and porches are the most common den locations.

Groundhog control is not something for the do-it-yourselfer. By knowing the biology, habits and patterns of groundhogs, Wildlife Professionals are better prepared and trained to remove the animal for you. We offer a quality groundhog removal service.

This is not just a job for the Wildlife Professional; it is a passion to help the person who has the wildlife conflict and the wildlife too.

Animal control for for skunks is a necessary service to protect your home and family. Removing the animals the first step to making your home healthy again.Get rid of the skunk the right way before the problem gets out of control.

When placing your garbage outside for pickup, store it in a heavy duty metal container or plastic container with lid that will stay on even if knocked over. Never place garbage outside unprotected. Skunks love grubs! Grubs are beetle and larva underneath of your lawn. They are known for digging small holes in yards as they hunt for them. Never leave pet food outside at night as these animals enjoy that as well and never leave table food outside for strays, you could possibly end up with a family of skunks living on your property. If you have bushes or trees that bear fruits, nuts or berries, you should periodically walk your yard and remove any that have fallen to the ground. Skunks will feast on them and so will rodents....which skunks will also happily eat.

Skunks adapt to many habitats. They live in open, scrub, wooded, agricultural and developed areas. Hooded and Hognose Skunks are usually found in bushy or rocky land areas. The Western Spotted Skunk can live in dry areas. They will den near water in woodlands, brush, open prairie and among boulders and rock crevices. Skunks can dig their own burrows. They often live in homes that are abandoned by other animals and in urban areas they will nest anywhere from houses, walls, basements, culverts and beneath buildings.

Most skunks mate in late winter or early spring. Gestation time averages around sixty to seventy-five days. Baby skunks are born in May or June. The litters are usually four to seven in size. By three weeks their eyes open. The young skunks stay in the burrow for about six weeks. They usually learn to hunt from their mother during the summer. These animals seldom hurry. They walk slowly and ususally don't worry about predators. Male skunks tend to be solitary and females tend to den together during the winter. Mothers line their dens with grass and leaves for comfort.

It may come as a surprise, but skunks are simliar to raccoons because they both will eat almost anything that does not eat it first. Skunk problems are building problems. In fact, skunks will dig one foot down, one foot across and one foot back up to get under a buildings foundation. If the cause of the issue is not fixed, the problem will begin again. A skunks digging can destroy a beautiful garden. They uproot and eat flowers and bushes.

Skunk Control With Spray Proof Trap

The worst thing about trapping skunks is that often use a wire steel cage trap that leaves you open to being sprayed. But with this trap, you won't have to be worrying about that anymore. We wouldn't recommend you putting your face right up to the door, but if this spray proof skunk trap is used correctly, you wont have to worry about being sprayed!

Another great feature about this trap is that you can set it next to your front door and protect yourself from any skunk spray. As many times the front door is where the skunks dig their den, this will be a perfect solution for your skunk removal needs.
