Moles In Yard

Moles in your lawn cannot be controlled, right?

I have good news for you. They can! Let us start out with
a strategy. Education and training are key to any endeavor.
By having the correct education and training, you will be
able to control even the toughest problems.

What kind of learner are you? Can you read a book and
then do something or do you need to watch a video?
I personally am a video person and learn through the
use of visual tools. By determining which way you learn,
this will help you decide what tool is best for you. Video's
and books are readily available on the subject.

Tools? There are several styles of mole traps on the
market. For the beginner, I would recommend the spear
or the scissor types. These are easier to set and you
will have more success with them. The scissor trap has
been around a very long time and has had little change
made to it over the years. Why? It works!

Be sure to rake out the mounds of dirt if there are any as
they will kill the grass and leave dead spots in the lawn.

After the moles are gone, keep on the lookout for new
invaders. When new moles arrive, catch them as quickly
as you can before their population gets out of control!

With a little work on your part and some patience,
the moles will be controlled and your management
program taking shape.

You work hard on your lawn and are proud of your home.
Do not let these pesky moles ruin it!

Weep Vents

A weep vent is a gap at the bottom of a brick wall that is designed to allow moisture behind the wall to seep out. Weep vent holes allow insects, mice and snakes to enter the walls of a home. If you have weep vents in your home, we suggest using this weep vent cover.

They are made of soft plastic and simply slip into the gap. Some trimming might be required to make them fit to the exact gap in your walls, but this is easily done with a set of tin snips or a saw.

To protect your home from unwanted invaders, order your weep vents here: Weep Vents

Mole Trap

A mole trap is one of the most effective tools for removing moles from your lawn. With the right knowledge and equipment, your lawn can be free from pesky moles!

This photo shows a properly set Victor Out O' Sight mole trap in a mulch bed. Moles frequent mulch beds due to the moisture in them which attracts earthworms.

A mole will tunnel through this mulch and into adjacent lawns creating damage to the lawn and landscape.

Moles will return to your yard eventually. A maintenance program will have to be iniated from time to time to keep them under total control.
